Forest Blanket-A-Thon Helps Project Linus
More than a dozen students worked for three hours on Friday to brighten the lives of children served by Project Linus.
Project Linus is is a volunteer
organization that provides love, a sense of security, warmth, and
comfort to children who are seriously ill, traumatized, or otherwise in
need through the gifts of new, handmade blankets and afghans.
In all, Forest students made 23 fleece blankets in a variety of colors and patterns.
The event was co-sponsored by the Medical Family Therapy and Adolescent and Child Psychology student groups.
While making blankets, students enjoyed a few "Peanuts" movies on the big screen which featured Linus himself.
