Dr. Renae Courtney to Direct Forest's MACL Program
Forest Institute is excited to announce that Renae
Courtney, PsyD, has accepted the position of Master of Arts in Clinical
Psychology (MACL) Program Director. She will be a full-time core faculty member
whose roles will include teaching in the MACL in Springfield, managing the MACL
programs in Springfield and St. Louis, and working with students on thesis
projects. Dr. Courtney’s first day will be August 6, 2012.
Dr. Courtney has a rich history with Forest Institute, most
recently as an adjunct faculty member since 2010. She earned a Doctor of
Psychology in Clinical Psychology from Forest Institute and completed a
Post-Graduate Certificate in Marriage and Family Therapy during her doctoral
studies. Additionally, she earned a Master of Arts degree in Human Sciences
with a focus on Thanatology and Gerontology from Hood College in Frederick,
Maryland.She is a Licensed Psychologist in the state
of Missouri and maintains a private practice.
Dr. Courtney’s instructional responsibilities will include MCL
Human Diversity, MCL Family Intervention, and MCL Relationship & Interview.
Her areas of interest for thesis projects include grief, trauma, fitness,
motivation, relationships, gerontology, and diversity.
Dr. Courtney’s office will be located in the east hallway, next to
